In February of 2014, Dale Earnhardt Jr. earned the DAYTONA 500®
victory. It was not only a monumental win in his legendary career, but
another milestone triumph in the decorated history of Hendrick
Motorsports.
This May, in celebration of the 40th anniversary season for the
iconic Hendrick Motorsports organization and the 10th anniversaryof Dale
Jr.’s second DAYTONA 500® victory, Chase Elliott will be turning back
the clock with a special throwback look at Darlington Raceway. Elliott
will battle for the win at Darlington with a No. 9 UniFirst Chevrolet
Camaro that will sport a paint schemeinspired by the one Dale Jr. drove
to DAYTONA® Victory Lane 10 years earlier, complete with the same red,
white, and blue colorscheme with gold accents that were on Dale Jr.’s
winning No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet.
