JTG-Daugherty Racing driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. prevailed through a chaotic conclusion to the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway for his first NASCAR Cup Series® victory of 2024.
With his No. 47 Kroger Health / Palmolive Chevrolet Camaro, Stenhouse overcame left-side door damage incurred during a massive multi-car melee with just five laps remaining to hold the lead for an Overtime restart. After the green flag flew for the final time, Stenhouse remained at the front of his drafting line and was able to hold the narrow lead as competitors attempted a thrilling three-wide finish. It was Stenhouse’s fourth career NASCAR Cup Series® win and his first since the 2023 DAYTONA 500®.
